Look out below, mind reader.

Warning: I tend to change my url name a lot but I'm currently satisfied with the one I have now // - I clearly have a fascination with Dair. If you're interested, go ahead & read my thoughts & get lost in my reverie -

“Thank you for setting me free - B.”

The Dair scenes were beautiful (as per usual) and the MET steps scene was a tearjerker that basically said Dan and Blair are lovely beyond words but let’s get to this: Blair and Chuck and that text message she sent him in the end.

Blair found out that Chuck paid off her dowry and that he was sincere when he said he came to her as a ‘Friend’. Yet, she still didn’t come back to him. Dan has her heart now and she has his. For paying off the dowry, she was grateful to Chuck Bass and his piece of endearment. It doesn’t mean she could be swayed so easily and jump straight into his arms.

I liked that she thanked him for “setting her free” because not only is she free from her marriage to Louis now but, in this way, she has also been set free from her relationship with Chuck. Sure, Blair and Chuck will never completely be over and their connection will always remain but she’s free; they both know it. Nothing is holding her back anymore. Her decisions, her wants, her needs, her desires, her feelings, her everything is purely her own. Only she will dictate the choices she makes from here on out.

Chuck may have paid off the dowry and settled Blair’s problem of being married to Louis but Dan is the one who unshackled her confounded emotions, which tied her to various paths of heartache, and helped her set herself straight. So, her thank you to Dan was full of sincerity just as much as her thank you to Chuck was.

Take out every scene with Serena and her awful face, Nate and his uninteresting storyline, Diana, Lola, and the mention of that girl Ivy whose voice annoys the hell out of me- and this episode was amazing. I’m hoping next week’s episode will be just as great. Dair will be debuting as a couple after all!

And on another note,

I love drunk Dair. They are so adorable! Especially at the scene where Dan’s waiting at the elevator and Blair’s waddling over towards him and they just look like two dazed kids, finding their way to each other.

Finally!

It’s April 2nd and we’ve finally got what we’ve been waiting for: Dair Sex. And it was fantastic in every sense. Leighton and Penn’s acting and their chemistry is undeniably incredible and with their lips and their eyes and their hands and their enticing passion, the result was indeed an eyeful of pleasure. Their scenes tonight were clearly worth the wait. I mean did you see how much they’ve smiled in each others presence in tonight’s episode? A lot. A hell of a lot! That means something: Dan and Blair are happy together. They make each other happy.

In point of fact, the bad, terrible sex they had was an “anomaly”. It was more than likely due to their constant thoughts getting in the way of the deed that needed to be done. So, by getting drunk in order to make love, they let their train of thought run away and allowed their bodies to fulfill the physical communication they wanted so deeply to express to one another. Their chemistry isn’t purely intellectual. The sexual correspondence they had tonight, once they loosened up, proved it. Tonight, it was body to body. When Monday comes around again, we’ll probably see them with their usual silly, yet adorable, banter or maybe they’re going to have another one or two or five rounds of sexy times. Whichever it is, I can’t wait. Tonight’s dairlicious episode was intoxicating.

I chuckled quite maniacally to the Cedric and “breakfast food” references in this episode too. Well done, GG crew. Well done.

Ausiello: “Those resourceful kids will quickly find a solution to their sad sack woes, although I can’t really see them sustaining said solution on a long-term basis.”

So, basically Dan and Blair will figure out a way to make their Dair sex great sex but Ausiello says that he can’t see them keeping up with it on a long-term basis. My theory here is that what they come up with will be:

A. having very kinky sex which they unfortunately won’t be able to continue with in the future because kinky sex is too kinky for when they’re old and gray and contently sitting on park benches together, holding hands, and babysitting their grandchildren

B. doing things that will be too strenuous that might get tiring after a while

C. sexing it up in exciting places (like elevators for example) that perhaps wouldn’t be the best sexual environment in the long run

D. All of the above

Anyway, they could find other solutions later and maybe then Ausiello could see that they’ll have everlasting good dair sex!

What do you guys think?

Ladies and gents, this right here is going to be first-rate awesomeness. This addictive promo, that I’ve watched about a few hundred times now, already decided that! I guess my assumption of Dan’s and Blair’s first time together being a moment that would overpower their first times with their first loves (a.k.a Chuck & Serena) wasn’t so far off after all. It’s different and it has more meaning behind it.

If you think about it, it’s almost as if both Dan and Blair are virgins again because this time they’re making love with someone other than their first loves that they actually have strong, real feelings for and that’s nerve wracking. I can’t wait to watch this episode and see how all of this plays out. DAIR SEX IS GOING TO BE HORRIBLE FOR THEM AT FIRST BUT IT’S DAIR SEX NONETHELESS AND THERE WILL PROBABLY BE A LOT OF IT SO IT’LL BE JUST AS WONDERFUL AND I CAN’T WAIT. I CAN’T WAIT.

Oh and who else isn’t ashamed to say they’re really looking forward to seeing Leighton in sexy lingerie?! Hands up! Hands up! I keep staring at her tongue in the promo and her tongue itself is the act of sex all on its own. I have such a girl crush on her. I bet Penn and all of the male cast members are secretly in love with her…

5x17

The Princess Dowry was GG’s last episode until April 2nd, huh? I’ve never loathed the last few days of February or the entire month of March more… Jesus! A time machine would really come in handy right now. Really.

Okay, on to my thoughts — let’s see, let’s see. Did anyone else notice the names Chuck used to refer to Dan this episode? “Blair’s house boy” and he even called him Blair’s “boyfriend”. Squeeee! Sure, the name calling was for mocking purposes but that didn’t exactly hurt to hear. Two points for you, Bassface.

Blair told Chuck that she loves him and always will. I love, love, love that she made it clear to him that she isn’t in love with him but I detest the fact that she proceeded to add “at least not now”. I feel that it means she’s dangling a bit of hope left for them to be together in the end and it kind of bothers me because why did she say that to Chuck if she’s going to be with Dan now? I didn’t think that was fair.

I mean, she already chose Dan. She chose him! He has her heart. Dan Humphrey has Blair Waldorf’s heart; I can’t stress that enough. I thought that was beautiful when said this to Dan. Oh, and that ending! Wow, that ending was just pure magic. I felt uplifted and dizzy and shaken all through that last scene of Dan and Blair. Whoever chose to have that scene spin all around like that is a masterfuckingmind. The kissing seemed endless and euphoric and that is exactly what I’d like to see every GG episode. Bring it, cameraman. Spin around for us again, I dair you.

Oh and this happened:

“What?”

“You just said my name.”

“Dan?”

“Yeah, and you just said it again.”

“Dan.”

“Say it again.”

“Dan.”

CUTENESS OVERLOAD, MY FRIENDS. They looked so happy! [Insert your I-have-too-many-happy-emotions-right-now-so-I’ll-just-cry-really-hard expression here.] Of course, this part is similar to when Chuck told Blair he loved her while bearing gifts. She asked him to say it again and he repeated it to her over and over while they kissed. I adored that scene when I shipped Chair in the past (yes, I really did. I shipped them so hard but now I’m onto the next best thing now that I dare to dair with a passion so overwhelming, it’s intense) but somehow, this was sweeter. Blair came to Dan bearing her heart. She repeats his name and not I love you’s while they kiss. Hearing Blair call him by his last name and not his first all the time must have been as heart wrenching as it was not hearing the one you love tell you they love you. So, by calling him by his name, she was addressing him, addressing her feelings for him and he heard it. He was stunned to hear it. There probably will be other times when she’ll call him by his last name for old times sakes but he’s “Dan” now and to Blair, he’ll remain as Dan.

Another thing. I liked that she asked him if he was going to invite her in when she was already inside. It was almost as if she was asking for permission to enter his heart even though she’s clearly already there.

Oh, boy. Someone do me a favor and build me a time machine. Make it April 2nd already, I’m begging you!
